Willie & Korie’s Story

Willie and Korie RobertsonAdoption has touched our lives in profound ways since the moment our son Will first came into our family at just five weeks old. Becoming adoptive parents changed our lives in countless ways and continues to be a rewarding experience every moment of each day. In 2016, through God’s great mercy and favor, we were again blessed with the experience of adopting a new child into our family, which began with a meeting at an unlikely event: the 2015 Duck Commander 500 Nascar Race. In between the hectic rush of press conferences, riding in pace cars, and announcing, “Ladies and Gentlemen, start your engines”—Willie and I walked into a quiet little room and our lives were forever changed when we met the twelve-year-old boy that would become ours.

It is in honor of that special meeting and the millions of children around the world who are still waiting to find a family to call their own that we have decided to dedicate the 2016 Duck Commander race to the cause of adoption. Our theme was Drive Adoption. It is our hope and dream that the Drive Adoption Fund will drive families to consider adoption, connect people in need of adoption resources with organizations that can help, and bring to light the beautiful children around the world in need of a loving, caring family. Adoption is rarely easy, but it is ALWAYS worth it. We hope to make the adoption process easier by providing a platform for awareness, resources, and education, with the ultimate goal of uniting children with forever families.

Please consider how you or your organization can come join us in our efforts to Drive Adoption by making a donation to the Fund now!

God Bless,

Willie & Korie’s Story

Adoption has touched our lives in profound ways since the moment our son Will first came into our family at just five weeks old. Becoming adoptive parents changed our lives in countless ways and continues to be a rewarding experience every moment of each day. Recently, through God’s great mercy and favor, we were again blessed with the experience of adopting a new child into our family, which began with a meeting at an unlikely event: the Duck Commander 500. At the event last spring—in between the hectic rush of press conferences, riding in pace cars, and announcing, “Ladies and Gentlemen, start your engines”—Willie and I walked into a quiet little room and our lives were forever changed when we met the twelve-year-old boy that would become ours.

It is in honor of that special meeting and the millions of children around the world who are still waiting to find a family to call their own that we have decided to dedicate this race to the cause of adoption. Our theme for the 2016 Duck Commander 500 is Drive Adoption and we plan to do just that. It is our hope and dream that this race will drive families to consider adoption, connect people in need of adoption resources with organizations that can help, and bring to light the beautiful children around the world in need of a loving, caring family. Adoption is rarely easy, but it is ALWAYS worth it. We hope to make the adoption process easier by providing a platform for awareness, resources, and education, with the ultimate goal of uniting children with forever families.

Please consider how you or your organization could be a part of this event and come join us in our efforts to Drive Adoption!

God Bless,
